December brings the season of giving, and what better way to make your gift stand out then to personalize it? Here at Bloomy Rind, we offer muslin-lined wicker baskets perfect for filling with a selection of tasty morsels sure to make anyone smile.

Start with a one-of-a-kind cheese slate from Brooklyn Slate. Not only are these “repurposed” roof tiles beautiful; their second life supports the most serious green agenda.

Add some Frattoria di Monti olive oil from Tuscany. This sweet, spicy, herby oil warms the pallet and is ideal for when you want the oil to take center stage. (Mary and I dip our bread in it.) Purchase a glass bottle for a nominal charge and fill it to the brim from our barrel. When it’s empty, your recipient can visit us for a refill.

Bloomy Rind features a selection of goat’s milk caramel from Fat Toad Farm. A jar of this luscious hand made topping will bring a unique touch to your gift basket. (What more can I say? An open jar in the fridge has me yanking at the drawer for a spoon.)

From Bloomy to you

Of course, here at Bloomy Rind we are all about cheese. This month Mary is excited about Plymouth Cheese from Vermont, a sharp, tangy cheddar rounded out with notes of fruit and butter. Not only does it taste delicious, but comes dressed for the season in a bright red wax rind.

Also new in this month is Creminelli Sausage picante, hand crafted by this award winning sausage maker. The family owned business dates back to the 1600's in Italy and only recently have they been making sausages here in the U.S.

Having a party? Bloomy Rind will design a personalized cheese platter based on your tastes. We’ll display a delicious selection on a striking ceramic tile; creating a visual delight for your guests, not to mention an unctuous feast.

In addition we’d be glad to create a sampling of petite sandwiches made with artisan-crafted meats and cheeses, designed to compliment any holiday celebration.
